With the holidays coming up, it’s time to spice up your home for the festive season. Give your home the Christmas makeover it needs.
Here are a few tips to bring the Christmas spirit home to you and your family.
Brighten up your home for the holidays with the addition of fairy lights. The beauty of fairy lights is that you can add them both indoors and outdoors.
If you live in a double storey home, consider adding lights around the handles of your staircase. Alternatively, add fairylights around your windows to give your home a warm glow. If you have outdoor lighting, fairylights will blend seamlessly into your home. And the best thing about them – you can leave them up all year.
Christmas scented candles
Turn off the lights and warm up your home with scented candles. Not only are they a great way to create a more inviting atmosphere, calming scents can make your home feel much cosier. Gingerbread, plum, spiced apple or cedar leaf are all Christmas favourites. So light your candle and sit back and relax – though be sure to put them out after use.
Christmas tableware is a quick and easy way to add character to your home. Use green, red and white for a more traditional look or use soft hues and textures like green, gold and wooden finishes to create a more neutral look. Decorations with a hint of black can complement the set-up and give your home that luxurious feel.
Turn on some Christmas music
What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by playing Christmas jingles. A free and easy way to get into the holiday mood, through phone or speaker, there is always a place for you to bring out the music.
Add a Christmas tree
Lastly, what other way to tie it all together than with the Christmas centrepiece – the tree! Whether it is real, fake, big or small, the addition of a tree is bound to bring everything together.
