We want to inform you on important upcoming changes regarding the National Construction Code (NCC) & 7-star energy regulations coming into effect on May 1st, 2024, that will impact all buyers.

These changes are outlined below for new homes in Victoria:

  1. The minimum energy efficiency must increase from a 6-star to a 7-star rating to deliver more energy-efficient homes.
  2. A new home energy rating system will be introduced to measure the consumption of an entire home by appliances, hot water systems, double-glazed windows and much more.
  3. Home designs need to be more accessible and accommodating for our ageing community and for individuals with mobility limitations.

These new requirements will impact the design and pricing dynamics in the building industry. To avoid the additional costs associated with the new building regulations, an initial deposit is required by April 30th, 2024.

Building a new home is truly a special experience, and we look forward to bringing your vision to life. Should you have any queries, do not hesitate to book an appointment at one of our show homes to discuss.
