Tell us a bit about your background and your role at Marque.
I’ve been working in the design industry for over 15 years and have been fortunate to collaborate on a wide range of residential projects. My journey began in 2009, and over time I’ve developed a real appreciation for the balance between creativity and practicality.
At Marque, I lead our in-house Interior Design team. We work closely with clients to personalise every detail of their home, from colours and finishes to textures and fittings so that each space truly reflects their personality and lifestyle. I also curate the interiors and selections for our show homes, which is a wonderful opportunity to showcase Marque’s craftsmanship, innovation, and design expertise.
How would you describe your design philosophy?
For me, great design starts with people. I believe a home should be a genuine reflection of who you are, not just a collection of trends or ideas. I always aim to create spaces that feel authentic, purposeful, and timeless.
I’m drawn to design that connects form and function seamlessly. A space should look beautiful, of course, but it should also make everyday living easier and more enjoyable.
What does the client journey look like when working with your team?
It’s a very collaborative and educational process. We guide clients through each stage, from exploring inspiration and creating mood boards to selecting materials and finishes. My goal is to make sure clients feel supported and confident in every decision they make.
It’s incredibly rewarding to watch people discover their own style along the way. Building trust and rapport is key, once clients feel comfortable, the design journey becomes something really special.
What inspires your personal design style?
I’m inspired by the warmth and natural beauty of Australian design. I love organic curves, tactile textures, and materials that bring softness and comfort to a home.
I’m also curious by nature, I enjoy exploring new styles and influences, but I don’t see trends as something to chase. Instead, I see them as opportunities to evolve timeless design principles in fresh and interesting ways.
What do you enjoy most about designing Marque’s show homes?
Designing our show homes is such a rewarding part of my role. It’s an opportunity to bring together creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation, and to create spaces that truly inspire.
Each display is a chance to tell a story, to demonstrate how cohesive design and thoughtful detailing can elevate the way people live and feel in a space.
How would you describe the Marque design experience?
It’s personal, inspiring, and deeply considered. We don’t just help clients choose finishes, we help them craft a home that feels like theirs.
Our design process is about celebrating individuality and ensuring every choice has purpose. I think that’s what makes Marque’s approach so special, every home is unique, and every client’s story is reflected in the details.
