For this project, the goal was to achieve a French Provincial façade with a strong focus on symmetry, proportion and classical detailing. The façade design draws inspiration from elegant, traditional European design. The client wanted a home that reflected a grand, yet harmonious façade, one that felt architecturally balanced, timeless and sophisticated while sitting beautifully within its environment.
Materials and Texture
Material selection plays a central role in defining the homes exterior. Here, the combination of slate roof tiles, Dulux render in Hog Bristle with a brick finish, and window moulds introduced depth, warmth and character to the design.
Each material was chosen for both aesthetic and practical reasons, reflecting Marque’s focus on enduring quality and craftsmanship.
The Entry
Approaching the home, the arched front door with wrought iron features and illuminated pathway creates a sense of connection and grandeur. The entryway sets the tone for the rest of the home, elegant, inviting and luxurious.
The home also features a basement garage to accommodate for the slope of the site.
The Backyard
Behind the striking façade lies an equally impressive outdoor sanctuary. The backyard has been thoughtfully designed as a split-level entertainer’s retreat, maximising both functionality and lifestyle.
The lower level features an alfresco dining area and outdoor kitchen, seamlessly connecting to the home and the stunning pool area.
As you step up to the upper levels, you will find a fully landscaped retreat perfect for that afternoon sun. The change in levels not only defines each zone but also makes the most of the site’s natural gradient, transforming it into the perfect space for entertaining, unwinding, and enjoying the outdoors all year round.
